It was a sunny, warm spring afternoon yesterday so I took a walk through the garden with my macro lens. The little worlds that exist just out of our vision are astonishing. Stories of predator vs prey, boundaries crossed, and ecosystem service providers busily doing their thing.

A tiny spider, no bigger than 5mm in size, eyes off a tiny fly that has become caught in its web.
I've been watching this spider's life for over a week now, as it built a home in amongst my flowering parsley plant. It seems safe from would-be predators tucked in amongst a leaf node.
The rose brings with it powdery mildew, and therefore hungry fungus-eating ladybirds (Illeis galbula). There were several ladybirds on this plant so I'm confident they'll take care of the issue.
