When I was studying landscape design, we needed to learn the scientific names of plants. Since then I've become rusty and need some practice, so thought I would start posting a photo every Saturday of a new plant.
Because I had a last minute natural history illustration assignment to complete this week, I had to find a specimen quickly. A visit to the florist and I came home with these simple, pretty flowers. I also had a few of these in my wedding bouquet, which was a nice little touch.
